An interesting bit of musical trickery from James Last.
He recorded the Smokie hit "Living Next Door To Alice"
for the album Non Stop Dancing 1977/2. Soon after,
he wrote an original song called "Sunshine on The Mountain"
and recorded it for his next album Western Party & Square Dance.
"Sunshine on The Mountain" was written using the chord progression
for "Living Next Door To Alice", and for the recording Last used
the rhythm track for "Alice" and dubbed harmonica, strings
and extra keyboards over top.
The giveaway is the series of cymbal crashes at 1:58 and 4:37.
